Hotwire’s work on the ‘Gigalife’ platform has helped Vodafone to establish a position of thought leadership in 5G technology. Through SEO and SOV they have been able to engage with a consumer audience in a way that the core Vodafone website doesn't currently.

The brief
As a global pioneer in 5G infrastructure, Vodafone engaged the team to create a dedicated editorial platform to explore life in a purpose-led, hyper-connected world. Lucy led the end-to-end design and build of ‘Gigalife’– a premium content hub engineered to educate audiences on the real-world impact of next-generation technology.
The challenge
While leading the market technically, Vodafone needed a fresh approach to connect with people on an emotional level, moving beyond cold tech specifications. The platform had to balance strict, established global corporate brand guidelines with a unique, editorial aesthetic. It required a design that commanded absolute journalistic credibility and accessibility, while shifting the narrative from product features to human-interest storytelling.
The solution
Lucy developed a clean, sophisticated, and user-friendly digital destination tailored for global readership:
HUMAN-FIRST VISUAL NARRATIVE: Drew deep inspiration from global cultures, prioritising striking, real-life photography that captured the tangible impact of technology on human lives rather than generic stock imagery.
CONTENT ARCHITECTURE DESIGN: Engineered a modern, accessibility-focused interface with seamless navigation, allowing users to effortlessly explore complex global challenges and digital opportunities.
BRAND COMPLIANT INNOVATION: Innovated within the rigid parameters of Vodafone’s global design system, creating an identity for Gigalife that felt distinctly editorial and editorialized yet intrinsically tied to the master brand.
This project showcases the ability to humanize a global telecom giant through premium editorial UX. By balancing strict enterprise brand governance with immersive, culturally inspired design, Lucy successfully delivered an engaging storytelling hub that shifted public perception of 5G from an abstract utility to an essential, life-enhancing human connection.
